Dental Implants
A dental implant replaces both the root and the crown of a missing tooth, helping preserve the jawbone health that would otherwise deteriorate after tooth loss.
The Benefits
Why Patients Choose Implants
Unlike a bridge or denture, a dental implant replaces the tooth root itself, not just the visible crown. That gives it a stability and lifelike feel that other tooth-replacement options can't match, while also protecting the surrounding bone and gum tissue.
- Look, feel, and function like a natural tooth once fully healed
- Built for long-term durability when cared for with regular brushing, flossing, and checkups
- Helps preserve jawbone health that would otherwise deteriorate after tooth loss
The Process
What to Expect: The Dental Implant Process
- 1
Consultation
We evaluate your candidacy for implants and plan your treatment, including the number and placement of implants you'll need.
- 2
Extraction
If the damaged tooth is still present, it is removed to prepare the site for the implant.
- 3
Implant Placement
A titanium post is placed directly into the jawbone, where it will serve as an artificial tooth root.
- 4
Osseointegration
Over a healing period, the surrounding jawbone fuses to the implant, anchoring it securely in place.
- 5
Abutment
A small connector piece is attached to the top of the implant to support the final restoration.
- 6
Crown
A custom-made crown is placed on top of the abutment, completing the restoration and matching the rest of your smile.
