The Process
What Happens During a Screening

Visual Exam
Dr. Kosek visually checks your lips, cheeks, gums, tongue, and the roof and floor of your mouth for unusual sores, discoloration, or lumps.

Physical Exam
A gentle physical exam of the tissues in and around your mouth and jaw to feel for anything that looked or felt out of the ordinary.

Additional Tests, If Needed
If anything warrants a closer look, we may use special lights or dyes to examine tissue more closely before deciding on next steps.
